Our club’s first Carnival Chess Tournament was an absolute success, and we are very happy about it! The turnout was great, and the children truly had a fantastic time, as always!

1st place: Nikolaos Maglis, who is also the contender for the Cup, which will be awarded to the 1st Nikoforeio Gymnasium where he studies

A heartfelt thank you, first and foremost, to our coaches Vasileios Maris, Alexandros Stathopoulos, Szente-Varga Fruzsina, Johannes Ley, Mike Spanos, and Maria Kyriakou for their invaluable contribution to organizing, preparing the children, and officiating the games!
Additionally, many thanks to the businesses Olympic Hôtel (Filippos Olympitis) and Monster Café for providing tables, as well as Mr. Mousellis and Mr. Kirkis for transporting them—we are truly grateful!
We also extend our gratitude to the local media, especially kalymnos-news.gr and Ms. Evi Koukiaini and Ms. Eleftheria Tiliakou, for covering the event, as well as the store “Entos” for the gifts.
Finally, we wish to thank the Deputy Mayor of Culture, Ms. Valantoula Kanavouri, for her ongoing support in all our events, including providing the venue and even essential equipment (tables) to ensure smooth tournament operations.
