Comprehensive Water Supply Solution for Pserimos, Telendos, and Skalia with Three New Desalination Units by the Municipal Water and Sewerage Company of Kalymnos (D.E.Y.A.K.)
The Municipal Water and Sewerage Company of Kalymnos (D.E.Y.A.K.), in line with its planning, has installed three (3) large Desalination Units in the areas of Pserimos, Telendos, and Skalia.
Each unit has a production capacity of 100 cubic meters of water per day, addressing the long-standing demands of residents in these remote areas of the island and eliminating the persistent water supply issues—especially during the summer months.
It is important to note that the new units will operate alongside existing units, which currently produce 60 cubic meters per day. Combined with local boreholes, they will meet the water needs of Pserimos, Telendos, and Skalia (including the Kalamiés and Emporeiós areas), with provision for future residential and commercial expansion—ensuring a total daily water supply of over 160 cubic meters.
D.E.Y.A.K. continues to respond to the needs of the local community and, with the resources available, strives to improve the daily lives of both residents and visitors of the island.
For D.E.Y.A.K.
