The Municipal Port Fund of Kalymnos has signed a contract for the preparation of a Traffic Study aimed at organizing parking areas and the movement of vehicles and pedestrians within the Land Zone of Kalymnos Port, with road safety as the primary criterion.
The study will record and analyze the current situation, needs, and functions within the port zone, as well as the demand and supply of parking spaces during both regular and peak periods. Its goal is to optimize traffic flow and ensure the safe movement of all users.
It will deliver specific proposals and plans for organizing traffic, making better use of parking areas through design and zoning, implementing modern management systems, and installing the necessary signage to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the port.
This initiative is part of the MPFK’s strategy to upgrade infrastructure and improve the daily life of residents and visitors.
