As of Monday, October 27th, 2025, the Hellenic Navy gunboat “NIKIFOROS” is docked at the port of Kalymnos, participating in the celebrations for Greece’s national anniversary of October 28th.
Designed and built entirely in Greece, NIKIFOROS entered active service in 2004 and has since carried out numerous missions in the Aegean, multinational naval exercises, and humanitarian programs. The ship’s emblem symbolizes its enduring role in defending Greece’s maritime borders.
Its presence in Kalymnos added special significance to this year’s commemoration.
