Αντίγραφο του ΟΡΚΟΜΩΣΙΑ Β ΘΗΤΕΙΑΣ ΔΕΚ.23 - 1
Today, 25 November, we face a truth that hurts. Behind every statistic, there is a face. A woman who was frightened, who was harmed, who stayed silent because she felt alone. And this is something we cannot accept — not as individuals, not as a society.
As the Regional Vice-Governor of Kalymnos, but above all as a citizen of this place, I feel the need to speak directly to every woman who has ever been in danger: You are not alone. It is not your fault. You have a voice. You have support.
Violence does not only leave marks on the body — it leaves silences, fears, and wounds that cannot be seen. That is why we all have a duty to stand beside those who are fighting to regain their strength. To listen, to protect, to speak when others remain silent.
Today and every day, let us remember that the greatest power we have is human solidarity. And let us promise that no woman will walk the path of fear alone.
Every life deserves to be lived without violence. And every woman deserves respect, safety, and freedom.
