Test Results Now Available at the Click of a Button
Kalymnos General Hospital–Health Centre “Vouvaleio” is introducing an important digital service designed to make healthcare documents more accessible while reducing the need for patients to visit the hospital in person.
The hospital has now been connected to the Digital Repository for Hospitalisation Certificates and Laboratory Test Results, operated by IDIKA in cooperation with Greece’s Ministry of Digital Governance.
Through the new service, citizens can access their laboratory test results and certificates of hospitalisation or medical visits online, without having to collect the documents from the hospital.
Documents available digitally
Citizens can now obtain:
- Hospitalisation certificates for inpatients.
- Certificates of attendance at scheduled outpatient clinics.
- Certificates of attendance at the Emergency Department.
- Results of blood, microbiological and other laboratory tests.
The digital documents contain the same information as their printed equivalents, carry the same legal validity and are also available for registered dependants.
How to access the service
The documents can be accessed through:
- The gov.gr digital portal, under “Diagnostic Laboratory Test Results.”
- The myhealth.gov.gr website through the patient’s electronic medical record.
- The MyHealth App, available for mobile devices through the App Store and Google Play.
Users will need their personal TAXISnet or web banking credentials, their AMKA social security number—or that of a registered dependant—and a one-time password known as an OTP.
The OTP is sent to the mobile telephone number registered with Greece’s National Communication Registry through notify.gov.gr. Activation of the paperless prescription service is also required.
The hospital’s connection to the digital repository marks an important step towards faster and easier access to healthcare documents for Kalymnos residents, particularly those living far from the hospital or on neighbouring islands.
