The Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Domna Michailidou, held a working meeting with Dodecanese MP and Chair of the Parliament’s Committee on Regions, Manos Konsolas. The discussion focused on two main issues.
First, the operational problems of the Child Protection Branch of the Dodecanese, where Mr. Konsolas requested immediate reinforcement with specialized staff and upgrades to the building facilities, enabling the structure to host children with specific needs. Second, his proposals to address the demographic challenges on the islands and support families who live or wish to relocate to island regions.
Mr. Konsolas invited the Minister to attend a special thematic session of the Committee on Regions dedicated to demographic issues in island and mountainous areas.
