Kalymnos CBA youth team crowned Dodecanese champions – Mayor congratulates athletes
The youth team of the Kalymnos Basketball Academy (CBA) has been crowned Dodecanese champions for 2026, following an impressive victory in the final held in Rhodes against Kolossos.
In an official press release, Mayor of Kalymnos, Giannis Mastrokoukos, expressed his warm congratulations, highlighting that the success is the result of hard work, dedication, talent, and strong team spirit among the young athletes.
Special recognition was given to the team’s coach, Christos Kalaitzidis, as well as to the administration, staff, and families who supported the players throughout their journey. The team’s performance in the final, including a remarkable comeback, was also praised.
The Mayor emphasized the municipality’s ongoing commitment to supporting sports and youth development, noting that such achievements confirm the value of investing in athletic infrastructure and young people.
