We will not submit the hard-won rights of women, children, LGBTQI+ people, migrants, minorities, or any other vulnerable group to public debate—because these rights are non-negotiable. Their existence and freedom do not depend on whether some people feel “uncomfortable” with them or not.
We will not embrace the madness and ideological mishmash that comes with accepting the narrative of “neither left nor right” or “they’re all the same.” Such false equivalences and logical leaps into absurdity clearly serve—and only serve—far-right rhetoric. This has been proven and is proven every day.
Nor will we normalize violence or the acceptance of an “internal civil war” within our cities between migrants and natives, fueled by notions of fascist “purity” and used as a smokescreen to conceal other issues.
📷 We will not assault our own reason. We will not suddenly ask whether it is permissible to buy or annex entire countries to serve the interests of another country simply because the latter enjoys the advantage of power—violating every principle of international law and common sense.
We will not import the most reprehensible “Trumpian” agendas because it suits some to build leadership profiles and political careers on the back of our reason, aiming at their normalization and, through it, the mobilization of far-right remnants and a broader audience.
Every person’s struggle for justice is fully respected. So is their right to speak publicly. That is where it ends.
Immunity from criticism is no one’s privilege—especially when one “fires first” by articulating political discourse (or something akin to it) and judges others’ historical trajectories through distorted lenses.
In general, we will not burn out our brains just because it suits some for confusion and ideological fog to dominate the public sphere.
For those who desperately wish to leave an indelible mark on the country’s political life and to fight the rotten system, there is a clear field of action, defined as follows:
- Cost of living and wage increases
- Decent eight-hour workdays and enforcement of collective agreements
- Resolving the massive housing crisis and outrageous rents
- Substantive support for the primary sector, agricultural production, and livestock farming, which are fighting for survival
These are just a few of the issues that required solutions yesterday.
The rest should be left alone by would-be saviors.
What is needed is not saviors, but policies that lift dead ends.
