The Kalymnos Regional Medical Association “Skevos Zervos” issued a press release on November 5, 2024, addressed to Dodecanese MPs. The release highlighted the unbearable financial burdens affecting medical laboratories in the region and the impasses these create for lab physicians and their patients.
These unjustified financial demands have caused lab physicians in our region to consider discontinuing their collaboration with EOPYY, the National Organization of Health Services of Greece, which will ultimately transfer the cost of lab tests entirely to the patients.
Our newspaper will feature an exclusive interview with Dr. Gerasimos Apostolatos, President of the Kalymnos Regional Medical Association, conducted by our associate Niki Reisi. The interview will air on our YouTube channel during the program “Epikentro” on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 9:00 P.M.
