Today is a great celebration. A celebration of Orthodoxy, of Greece, and of Spring. Of family, of friends, of Greek nature. And some might say that political statements are out of place.
But Easter is a celebration connected with light and hope. The hope of a new life, after suffering and going through Golgotha. The hope of rebirth. And this rebirth, this progress, this prosperity, is something we owe to all people. Social Resurrection will not come as a miracle. We must bring it ourselves. With planning, with momentum, and with collective effort, so that everyone has the right to participate in this great celebration — and in the creation of a better life. Without privileged and non-privileged.
My wish is that we fight this fight together so that everyone may have a better life in a better country.
This is also my commitment.
Happy Easter!
