Traffic changes in Myrties – Masouri and Agios Vasileios announced by Municipality of Kalymnos
The Municipality of Kalymnos has announced new traffic regulations ahead of the tourist season, aiming to improve road safety and ensure smoother traffic flow in high-traffic areas.
According to the announcement, from April 1, 2026, to November 30, 2026, a one-way traffic system will be implemented on the peripheral road connecting Myrties and Masouri, specifically from the Myrties playground to Iero Chorio, with direction from Myrties towards Masouri.
At the same time, a section of the main Myrties – Masouri road will also operate as one-way at the points where it intersects with the peripheral road, with direction from Masouri towards Myrties.
Additionally, from April 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026, a one-way system will be applied on Agios Vasileios road, with direction from the playground to the Old Slaughterhouses.
These measures are intended to ease congestion and enhance traffic management during the peak tourist season.
