Call to Kalymnians of Attica to Participate in the Volunteer Blood Donation of the Federation of Dodecanesian Associations of Attica
The Mayor of Kalymnos, Giannis Mastrokoukos, and the Municipal Authority extend a warm invitation to all Kalymnians residing in Attica — as well as those who will be in the area on the day of the initiative — to participate in the volunteer blood donation organized by the Federation of Dodecanesian Associations of Attica, in collaboration with all Dodecanesian Societies.
The blood donation will take place on Saturday, 29 November, from 13:00 to 17:00, at the Dodecanesian House (143 Ypsilantou Street). The aim is to strengthen the blood bank and support our fellow islanders who are in need.
The Municipal Authority emphasizes that volunteer blood donation is a supreme act of solidarity, humanity and social responsibility. Just a few minutes of our time can offer life to someone who is struggling.
The volunteer spirit, care for fellow citizens and unity of the Dodecanesian community are enduring values that honor Kalymnos and the wider Dodecanese.
The Municipal Authority of Giannis Mastrokoukos actively supports every initiative of the diaspora, acknowledging its crucial role in preserving tradition, unity and social cohesion.
At the same time, it has underscored the humanitarian character of its policies by establishing, for the first time, a Deputy Mayoralty for Health and Welfare, aiming to strengthen initiatives of social contribution and to support those in need.
For those unable to attend the Dodecanesian House at the scheduled time, it is possible to donate blood at any hospital, using the code of the Federation’s Blood Bank: 13863.
