Message from Katerina Emmanouil, Dodecanese Coordinator for Children’s Rights – ND
The Dodecanese Coordinator of New Democracy for Children’s Rights, Katerina Emmanouil, was delighted to attend the blessing ceremony (Agiasmos) marking the start of the new school year in the schools of Leros, and shared the following message:
“With hope for a good beginning, we received the Church’s blessing today during the Agiasmos for the new school year.
From the remote island of Leros, we send a message of hope and optimism. Because it is truly uplifting to see that, despite difficulties and shortages, we continue to live in these small, borderland communities and witness our schools filled with children who are making progress and achieving their goals.
To all students, their parents, and our fellow educators, I wholeheartedly wish for a productive, creative school year — one of progress and goal-setting, where each of us contributes our own small stone in building the foundation of our country’s education.”
