Manos Konsolas: Police Reinforcements for Rhodes and Kos – New Border Guards at Airports
In a scheduled meeting with the Minister for Citizen Protection, Mr. Michalis Chrysochoidis, Dodecanese MP Manos Konsolas discussed the need to strengthen police forces in the islands, especially in Rhodes and Kos.
The Minister announced the deployment of 80 new border guards in Rhodes, along with 40 officers at Rhodes Airport and 19 at Kos Airport, to improve year-round surveillance and passenger service.
Mr. Konsolas also raised the issue of constructing a new Police Headquarters in Rhodes via PPP, in cooperation with local authorities. He thanked the Minister for his support in boosting safety in the Dodecanese and invited him to visit the islands — an invitation that was accepted.
